It’s been a while since I updated, but that is because I haven’t been working much recently.
We just got back from a week long trip to Lake of the Ozarks with Dan’s parents. We had such a good time. We were able to spend some time with good friends on the way out there, and then also at the end of the trip they joined us for a day of swimming at the lake too. The kids had such a good time fishing and swimming, and we also walked through Bridal Cave. The weather was not too cooperative in the middle of the week, but we were able to make the best of it and relax.
Daniel and I (and Charlotte) also took a trip to Houston, TX with my parents at the end of June. It was quite the whirlwind trip- we drove down Thursday and Friday and flew home Sunday- but were able to spend some time with family. We were also able to see some family that we don’t get to see very often either. The older 3 kiddos were able to stay with Dan’s parents Wednesday through Sunday and had a fantastic time!
Daniel started his new job last Monday and so far, so good. The kids and I are adjusting to being home together again and we have hit the ground running this week (literally). Looking forward to making the most with the kids before school starts back up in 3 weeks. Greenwood Christian Academy starts a little later than the public schools here, so we have a little more time and have a lot of things planned! Hard to believe Savannah is starting 1st grade this year. Avery’s schooling is still in the works as we are trying to square away coordinating her speech therapy, but hopefully she will attend a few hours of therapy/preschool this school year.
Next week is fair week and Savannah is looking forward to going to the fair. It is one of her favorite weeks of the year (other than the State Fair week). We also have a few MOPS summer activities left before we kick off for the school year, lots of crafts planned, and a few other fun things.
I am going to work some Saturday mornings for a while to keep up with my required hours for work. Henry had the hardest time adjusting when I went to work, and to say he is glad I am home during the day again is an understatement.
Charlotte turned 8 months old 2 weeks ago. She still has no teeth, but is eating relatively solid (but soft) food. She is now army crawling and will rock on all 4’s. It won’t be too long before she is really up and going, but she gets around pretty well for right now! Slow down baby girl! She has started to say Mama, and babbles some, but nothing too meaningful. She does shake her head yes when she really likes something, has started to wave to others, and is starting to sign some like milk and more. She has changed so much these last few weeks.
Not sure if I will update once a week, or more often from home (or I guess it could be less even), but I will try to keep all our loyal readers (read Mrs. Sampson 🙂 ) updated!
