Last week we were able to head out east to spend some time with our parents. On our way out, we were able to stop in Ohio and celebrate Isabel Sampson’s first birthday and spend some time with good friends. We were also able to visit Amber, Jared, and baby Claire while visiting my parents too. I don’t have a lot of time to spend on this post, but it was a nice time of relaxing and a good break from our routine.
The girls have been getting so big. It is hard to believe that Savannah will be 3 next month. She has gotten so tall and uses her imagination while playing. She loves to play with her princesses, animals, and pretend to be a mommy. She is very independent and does not like to be helped, unless she asks for it. She is very excited about her new house and loves to go visit to see the progress. She finally, now that the drywall is up, sees her room and gets excited about where she will put all her things! She continues to amaze us on a daily basis with her knowledge and vocabulary. Both of the girls love to spend time outside playing with dirt, toys, or whatever else they can find.
Avery turned 15 months old this week. She still just has her 6 teeth (4 on top, 2 on bottom), but she eats anything, and all the time. She is a little machine. She is still pretty petite and can wear 9 month clothing. She has a doctor appointment on Monday for a well check so we will know more then! She is also very independent and loves to follow her big sister around the house. She has quite the personality and quite the temper. She pitches a fit anytime she does not get her way.
Traveling home last Monday we hit snow. Yes, snow and a lot of it. We are thankful that we made it home safely (after a very long day in the car). Sometimes, there really is no place like home and your own bed.
